Huaraz: Excursion to Chinancocha Lagoon – Ancash, Peru

EXPERIENCE

‘-We will start our excursion by picking you up at your hotel in Huaraz around 9:00 am.
-We will travel north along the Callejón de Huaylas, located between the majestic Cordillera Blanca and the imposing Cordillera Negra, until we reach the Huascarán National Park.
-Along the way, we will pass through picturesque Andean villages and delight in breathtaking scenery.
-We will arrive at the Llanganuco ravine and the beautiful Chinancocha lagoon, from where we will begin a hike of approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes along the María Josefa trail, famous for its quenual forests.
-You will have free time to explore the area and enjoy lunch on your own.
-We will then head to the Campo Santo de Yungay, before returning to the vehicle to start our way back to the city of Huaraz.
-Arrival time 18:30 p.m. approximately.
