Huaraz: Chavin de Huantar Monument – Querococha Lagoon – Ancash, Peru

EXPERIENCE

-We will begin our exciting excursion with pick up from your hotel (near the main square of Huaraz) at 8:30 am.
-We will head towards the Chavin Archaeological Monument, passing through charming villages such as Recuay, Ticapampa and Catac, while admiring the majestic views of the Cordillera Blanca.
-We will make a brief stop at the impressive Querococha Lagoon to enjoy its natural beauty.
-Continuing our journey, we will cross the Cahuish tunnel and the picturesque Callejón de Conchucos before arriving at the historic city of Chavin.
-Once there, we will explore the archaeological complex, including its iconic circular plaza, imposing castle, intriguing labyrinths and the famous lanzon, among other fascinating sites.
-Then, we will head to the Chavin Museum, where we will deepen our knowledge about the development of the first high Andean culture in Peru, enriching our understanding of this ancient civilization.
-On our way back to Huaraz, we expect to arrive around 7:00 pm.
-We will make a stop so you can enjoy lunch on your own, with an average cost of more than 30 soles.
