EXPERIENCE

Experience this incredible museum with your local tour guide, Nora, who actually grew up in this unique historic property that was originally restored by her parents back in 1958. Marvel at the many custom-crafted details from the bank s working years survive, such as the walnut paying and receiving teller cages, the furnishings of the President s office, the massive walk-in vault, and the original check canceller consisting of a tree stump and a specially designed hammer. Make sure to ask to see the bullet hole where the only known robbery attempt left its mark& in a failed robbery!

The rich history of the river town of Columbia, combined with the exciting history of this landmark property and its many collisions with famous moments in history, make it a wonderful stop on your visit to Lancaster County, PA.
