Hiking to Arevatsag Canyon: Lori Province – Lori, Armenia

EXPERIENCE

We invite you to take part in a simple but at the same time beautiful hike in the Dzoraget Gorge and discover the Arevatsag Canyon with a new hiking route. Our first stop will be St. Amrakit village. Then, continuing our way, we will pass by the village of Kurtan and reach the starting point of our hike. During the hike, we will reach Hnevank monastery (7th century), get acquainted with the history, architecture of the church, after which we will continue our hike to Tsitsqar, where we will rest and enjoy the beautiful rock scenery.
Then we will go back to the village of Kurtan along a beautiful trail and finish our hike in Kurtan near St. Astvatsatsin church.
The hike is also suitable for beginners.
The length of the hike is 10 km
