Hierve el Agua, Native towns and Mezcal Full-day Tour – Oaxaca, Mexico

We will pick you up at your Hotel to start this wondeful adventure!

Hierve el Agua
Let´s explore Hierve el agua early in the morning to be the first ones there, avoid the crowds and admire the beautiful views!
This place has three natural pools where you can swim and also you can do a hike around the area. We will get you a local guide to explore the area due to they rule the town by traditions, we are not able to guide you inside the park. (2 hours)

Mitla Site
Explore the archeological site founded 100 b.c by the hand of an expert, walking around and learning about the history of the Zapotec Culture. (1 hour)

Happy Hour
After the first two activities you will have lunch in a traditional restaurant with different options based on Mexican and authetic Oaxacan food. There are also options for vegetarians. (1 hour and 20 min)

Mezcal Distilley
Time ago Mezcal was a drink served only in special celebrations like weddings and town festivales.
We will visit a tradicional distillery to see how the Mezcal is made and learn about the different type of agave plants they use. Be ready to try 7 Mezcales or more! (1 hour)

Teotitlán del Valle
A special vistit to a native family; they welcome us at their house and workshop to see how these beautiful wool Rugs are made explaining step by step since the weaving process and the most incredible, how they still use natural dyes from plants, seeds, leaves, fruits and even an insect called Cochinilla. You will also learn about the meaning of all the symbols they weave in this beautiful textiles and what they represent for the Zapotec community. (1 hour)
