EXPERIENCE

Civil War Tails Diorama Museum is “real history with a fun twist” for the entire family! This museum tells the stories of individual men and women of the American Civil War through breathtakingly accurate dioramas solidly grounded in history but every hand-sculpted miniature figure is a cat!

The detailed dioramas are made to scale with a one-to-one ratio, so you can really get an idea of the scope of the battles. Come and see Pickett’s Charge and Little Round Top at the Battle of Gettysburg, the fight between the ironclad ships USS Monitor and CSS Virginia (Merrimack), the bombardment of Ft. Sumter that began the Civil War, and much more! Come learn about lesser-known actions and even discover why we have Japanese Samurai in a Civil War museum!

The museum is self-guided, but the creators of the dioramas are on-hand to answer questions and explain the dioramas to you as well!
