Full-day Chuncho macaw lick (large and colorful macaws) – Cusco Region, Peru

EXPERIENCE

Around 3:00 am we will be at the door of your hotel (depending on the time it may be 15 minutes earlier or later, we will tell you a day before), by car we will drive for about 80 minutes, at first along a beautiful road to through the deep jungle of Tambopata. At dawn we head by motorboat to the river for about 30 minutes, in search of wildlife along the way: capybaras, alligators, birds, until we reach the Chuncho Macaw Clay Lick, the best experience with tropical parrots in the region. The Chuncho macaw clay lick is one of the most impressive wild spectacles, bringing together the largest and most colorful macaws in this area: red macaws, blue and yellow macaws, red and green macaws and many types of parrots and parakeets. After enjoying the spectacle of noise and color, we returned to the boat to make the same way back to the city, expecting to arrive in the city around 11:30 am to 12 pm.
