From Sydney: Private Day Trip to Royal National Park - Sydney, Australia
  • Anywhere

EXPERIENCE:

The day starts with pickup from your accommodation and we then commence the drive to the Royal National Park. Upon reaching the park, we will have a short stop at serene Audley Weir.

From here the tour is flexible and we can choose between visiting Wedding Cake Rock, Eagle Rock or a walk in the rainforest.

The first two places provide the opportunity to see wonderful coastal scenery. Your guide will outline the walk times and differences between the two. The third walk is particularly suited to hotter days as the rainforest offers a cooler environment.

If you’d prefer not to do the walks we can visit several places further south of the park, such as the Otford Lookout, Stanwell Park Beach and the iconic Imperial at Clifton Hotel.

On the Wedding Cake Rock walk, admire dramatic coastal views of cliffs and unusual sandstone formations, with stops at the Balconies and the Waterrun.

Upon arrival, discover an amazingly large piece of white sandstone, resembling the shape of a wedding cake. Watch as it sparkles against the background of the blue Pacific Ocean.

A little further on is spectacular Marley Beach, which is viewed from a high lookout point. Marley Beach is an expansive landscape merging into sand dunes. Behind the dunes is a pristine freshwater lagoon.

Choose the Eagle Rock walk and follow a track that passes waterfalls, cliffs, and massive cliffs.

See many native plants including Wattles, Banksias, Grass Trees, Gymea Lillies, and Eucalypts. We will see numerous native birds including the Australian Ravin and New Holland Honeyeater. If lucky we may come across an echidna.

Upon arrival at Eagle Rock admire crystal clear Curracurrong Creek as it reaches the cliff edge and drops directly into the ocean below.

The waterfall drops 40 meters into a shallow bay and if sunny the ocean water takes on a translucent green color. When the surf is up you’ll hear the pounding waves hit the cliff face below.

After either Eagle Rock or Wedding Cake Rock, venture to Wattamolla, which has a wide waterfall dropping into a lagoon. The lagoon then forms into a stream that gently meanders to the nearby beach.

If the weather is warm there is an opportunity for a swim. Enjoy a refreshing lunch (fresh Italian bread, two salads and a choice of sandwich fillings made by your guide).

From this point, discover the areas south of the park such as Bald Hill and Sea Cliff Bridge, or make our way to Symbio Wildlife Park where many free ranging kangaroos and wallabies reside.

The park allows you to get up close to these animals.

We will also see many other native animals, including koalas, dingoes, echidnas, wombats emus, cassawarries and Tasmanian devils.

This is a private tour for you or your group only. We save time by not having to pick up and drop off people at other locations.

The day is flexible and can be personalised to fit your circumstances and choices.

At the end of the day we will return you to your accommodation with a day in nature to remember.
