EXPERIENCE

Get picked up from your hotel lobby at 6 AM the morning of the tour from your accommodation in Phoenix or Scottsdale. Travel deep into the famous Verde Valley for your first stop at Montezuma Castle.
This wonderous Native American delight is one of the most highly preserved monuments in the USA. Spend 40 minutes here and walk the grounds of this relic as you learn about its rich history.

Then, head to the 2nd monument of Tuzigoot which was constructed by the same local Sinagua tribe as Montezuma Castle. Spend another 40 minutes here and walk around the grounds of the 40-room fortress.
Next, continue on to the historic copper mining town of Jerome where you can gaze upon the spectacular views of the Verde Valley down below. Spend about 1 hour walking around marveling at this well-preserved town which takes you back to the heyday of mining in the 1920s.

Finally, be taken to the depot for the grand finale of the tour – the historic Verde Valley Railroad. Board this iconic sightseeing train, traveling first class, at 1 PM. In the first-class cabin, enjoy a luxurious glass of champagne, sandwich, and chicken wing bar.
Experience the Redrock sights and the local history shared by the narrator during a 3.5-hour train ride. Keep your eyes peeled for mines and Native American ruins. Return at around 4:30 PM and head straight back to your hotel.
