EXPERIENCE

We will pick you up at the coordinated point at 9:00 a.m. From there we will head to the Tambopata National Reserve, about ten minutes away.

Once there, we will cross what is considered the gateway to the southern Amazon rainforest. Ready for the hike? We will walk about three kilometers of trail. During the hiking route, we will have the opportunity to see monkeys and snakes up close.

Like true explorers, we will advance through the Amazonian flora, encountering macaws and even hawks. The trail will lead us to Sandoval Lake, the most idyllic enclave of the Tambopata National Reserve.

We will embark on a canoe to tour Sandoval Lake and, from the water, we will greet unique species such as the river otter or the black caiman. After the walk we will go to a local restaurant to enjoy lunch.

With a full stomach we will return to Puerto Maldonado at 5:30 p.m. to conclude the walk through the jungle and Lake Sandoval.
