From Paris: D-Day Normandy Beaches Guided Day Tour – Paris, France

EXPERIENCE:

Experience the beauty and rich history of Normandy with a day trip from Paris. You’ll have the opportunity to pay tribute to the Allied Forces and reflect on the events of D-Day at some of Normandy’s most iconic locations.

First, we’ll head to the Normandy American Cemetery & Memorial at Omaha Beach, where you can honor the soldiers of the Battle of Normandy at the visitor center. There, you can view a permanent exhibition and watch a film about the role of American forces in World War II. You’ll have the rare opportunity to witness a wreath-laying ceremony at the American cemetery, a site of peaceful tribute.

After a break for lunch, we’ll head to Utah Beach. This westernmost beach was a key location during the D-Day invasion and was codenamed “Utah” for the special operation. Learn about how the United States armed forces stormed the beach and successfully took control with relatively few casualties. After you’ve explored the beach, we will start our journey back to Paris.
