From Palenque: Maya Lacandon 2-Day Tour – Chiapas, Mexico

EXPERIENCE:

Day 1
Departure at 6:00 am at the reception of your Hotel, we will move to the Nahá Ecotourism Center, where we will have a delicious breakfast (not included) 10:00 AM we begin with the interpretive hiking, in the company of an expert Lacandon guide who explains to us the importance of the conservation of the flora and fauna of our environment, upon arriving at Lake Nahá we will enjoy a ride in Kayuco, observing the nature that surrounds the site and the aquatic plants; It is likely that you will be able to observe some aquatic and land birds during the course of the tour. At the end, we will move to the Metzabok ecological cabins to check-in for the rest of the afternoon at leisure.

Day 2
Departure at 9:00 am, we will move to Laguna Metzabok , where we will visit magical places in the Metzabok jungle, which in the Mayan language means “ God Maker of Thunder” , is located among the mountains in the east of the state of Chiapas, in the Jungle. Lacandona, during the tour we will be accompanied by a specialized Lacandon guide and through a cayuco we will travel to visit the assets that this extraordinary place hides, first we will visit Lake Tzibana, a cave where we will observe a rock painting captured on a stone on the shore of the lagoon, then we will visit archaeological areas covered in jungle, to finish our tour we will move to the Mirador where you can appreciate all the splendor of the lagoon and the beautiful landscape that surrounds it, this tour lasts 4 hours, after the tour we move to the city of Palenque, Chiapas end of our Service
