From Moab: Canyonlands 4×4 Drive and Calm Water Cruise – Canyonlands National Park, Utah

EXPERIENCE

Combine two must-do activities in one full-day tour. Start your with pickup in Moab, then enjoy an adventurous 4×4 drive through the Island in the Sky district of Canyonlands National Park. Explore backcountry sites that many tourists miss. Travel a portion of the White Rim Trail, and make your way up switchbacks of the famous Shaffer Trail. 

There will be numerous stops with excellent photo opportunities, including views of the remote Musselman Arch, and sweeping vistas from the top of the mesa. Towards the end of your 4×4 tour, drive down to the river banks, where you’ll enjoy a delicious picnic lunch.

Spend a relaxing afternoon on the calm waters of the Colorado River in a beautiful area called Meander Canyon. Enjoy views of the national park from the river, explore a natural stone alcove called the Grotto, and visit a petrified forest where entire trees are exposed. Cruise back up stream to the vehicles, and drive back to Moab where your tour ends.
