From Mérida: Maní and Tekit Day Trip with Lunch – Guanajuato, Mexico

EXPERIENCE:

We start the tour when our guide arrives for you at the lobby of your hotel, we will go to see one of the magical towns of the State. We will begin by visiting the capital of the guayabera; Tekit belongs to the route of the churches for having the former convent of San Antonio de Padua and the chapel of San Cristóbal. Our second stop will be the magical town of Maní “place where everything happened”. We will visit the convent of San Miguel Arcángel founded in 1549, it is made up of a large rectangular atrium, a posa chapel, an open chapel, the main church with four chapels, a cloister, the convent area, an orchard, a waterwheel and the remains of the old school. Later we will move to the U Naajil Yuum K’iin meliponaria to learn about the melipona bee native to the state and its great value within the Mayan culture. Then we will delight ourselves with regional Yucatecan food at the El Príncipe Tutul Xiu restaurant, where we will enjoy delicious Poc-chuc, and then we will return to Mérida.
