EXPERIENCE:

The Canyon of the Lost tour begins with the pick up of our travelers or hotel in
Ica or bus station in the period from 6:15 to 6:30 am, then we will transport
towards the South of Ica, during the journey, our driver will make a stop
on the outskirts of Ica, before entering the desert. This in order to make
purchases of drinks and some food for the excursion.
– 30 minutes later approx. Departure to the Ocucaje desert with destination to the Canyon of
los Perdidos, we will travel by the Panamericana Sur, and then take the
detour that will take us to the OCUCAJE Desert, a place that also houses a
large number of marine fossils many millions of years old,
As we enter the desert along a trail, but in good
state, little by little we are observing the diversity of hills with different
layers of colors, continuing with the tour for 2 hours we will be arriving at the
crack that was formed by the riverbed and the capricious shapes that it has given
wind erosion.
– We will arrive at the Cañón de los Perdidos viewpoint; where the great
crack showing its extent and depth, which in turn serves as protection
for the carrion birds that are the guardians of this area.
– We will start our walk along a sandy road where you can also
appreciate some fossils and saltpeter that leads us to the springs of
this great canyon 150 meters deep and 1.5km long, during the
walk we will live an unforgettable adventure. Which will be guided by a person
specialized in ecotourism which will explain us about the flora, fauna, fossils
and many more on the spot. The tour in the canyon of the lost has
a duration of 02 hours and a half approx.
– Then we move to the city of Ica, we will arrive approx. At 2:00 p.m.
