EXPERIENCE

At the agreed time we will depart from our selected hotels and head towards the emblematic Route 40. During this trip we will be able to see Lake Argentino, the Santa Cruz River, the La Leona River and we will also be able to enjoy an incredible panoramic view of the Andes Mountain Range, including Mount Fitz Roy.

We will make a short stop at the Hotel La Leona, an important historical site, where we can stock up on supplies and explore its small museum. We will continue our way along the southern edge of Lake Viedma to the edge of Cerro Los Hornos to reach Estancia Santa Teresita.

Here, we will begin our hike through a depression in the terrain where we have the opportunity We will trek through a depression in the terrain where petrified logs can be seen lying on the surface, some of them up to 1.20 meters in diameter! We will also be able to see fossil remains of different types of dinosaurs that inhabited the place.

After the hike, we will head back to La Leona to start the return trip to our selected hotels in El Calafate.
