From Cusco: Unforgettable Rainbow Mountain Tour – Cusco, Peru

EXPERIENCE:

You will be pick-up between 4:20 AM and 5:00 AM, to head south until reaching the district of Cusipata in about 1.5 hours. There, you will enjoy a delicious breakfast before continuing for another hour to reach Fullawasi Pata, the starting point of the hike at 15,092 feet.

During the hike, you will witness the impressive snow-capped peaks, lagoons, and mountains with reddish hues, as well as encounter herds of llamas and alpacas. Finally, you will reach Vinicunca Mountain (Rainbow Mountain) at 16,568 feet, where you’ll be mesmerized by its colorful beauty and capture memorable photos. You’ll spend around 40 to 50 minutes at this location before descending along the same trail to the starting point of the hike.

Afterward, you’ll board the transportation to return to Cusipata, where you’ll enjoy the lunch around 1:00 PM or 2:00 PM. Finally, you’ll embark on the journey back to the city of Cusco, concluding this tour around 5:00 PM at Plaza Regocijo or San Bernardo St., just one block from the Plaza de Armas.
