From Cusco: Trekking the Lares + Machupicchu route 4D/3N – Cusco, Peru

EXPERIENCE:

Itinerary
Day 1 Cusco – Calca – Canchacancha
The tour begins with the pick up of the passengers early in the morning, to travel to a certain point and then make a walk of about 3 hours, then stop at a strategic point and have lunch, then make another 2 hours walk until you reach the community of Canchacancha. There you will set up your camp before nightfall, where you will have a delicious dinner and spend the night.
Day 2 Canchacancha – lago Coyalayo – Quiswarani
This day you will arrive to the mountain abra Pachacutec, so that you can appreciate beautiful landscapes in the middle of some lagoons of the valley, then you will enjoy a delicious lunch to continue descending to Quiswarani, once there you will continue ascending to the lagoon of Queuñaqocha where you will set up your camp.
Day 3 Quiswarani – Lares – Aguas calientes
This day you will start with a good breakfast to begin the hike to Andean villages, up to the Willkiccasa pass from where you will enjoy impressive views of the Colquecruz and Pitusiray mountains.
Then you will arrive to the community of Cuncani, from there you will depart to Lares.
This day you will have a good breakfast, because you will hike from Andean villages to the Willkiccasa pass, from where you will enjoy impressive views; then you will continue walking to the community of Cuncani so that from there you will go to Lares, where its main attraction are the hot springs, to which the entrance is optional.
In the afternoon, a shuttle will come to pick you up and take you to Ollantaytambo to board the train to Aguas Calientes, where you will spend the night.
Day 4 Machupicchu
You will have an early breakfast to start a winding hike that will guide you to the citadel of Machupicchu, once there you will start the tour inside the citadel, after the tour you will have free time to explore the area.
Then you will return to the town of Aguas Calientes on your own, until you board the train back to Cusco; this is the end of our trekking services in Lares with connection to Machupicchu (4D/3N).
