  • Anywhere

EXPERIENCE:

This tour begins with hotel pick-up around 8:00 to 8:30 a.m. We will then depart by bus towards the south of Cusco, during which you can admire beautiful landscapes. Our first stop will be the archaeological site of Tipón, an Inca ceremonial center where a stone canal controlled the flow of water from the high peaks of Mount Pachatusan to the lower lands of the valley.

Next, we will visit the Archaeological Complex of Pikillacta, which literally means “city of fleas.” It is an ancient walled city of the Wari Empire and was one of the most important regional centers of the Wari Culture during their expansion towards the city of Cusco.

Finally, we will conclude our journey by visiting the beautiful Church of Andahuaylillas, a small jewel from the Colonial period also known as the ‘Sistine Chapel of America.’ Inside, you will find an impressive collection of canvases with gold leaf frames, murals, baroque altarpieces, and more. You will also have the opportunity to admire the famous pentalingual door.

We will be back in the city of Cusco at approximately 2:30 p.m.
