From Cusco: Sacred Valley and short Inca Trail Tour 4D/3N – Cusco, Peru

EXPERIENCE:

Day 1 City Tour
First we start with the pick up from the hotel in the city of Cusco, then we will go to Koricancha (temple of the sun).
Then we go to the archaeological center of Sacsayhuaman (Imposing example of Inca military architecture).
Continuing we will visit the archaeological center of Qenqo (ritual center built on a unique limestone outcrop).
Later we will visit Puca Pucara and Tambomachay. Finishing our tour, we head to the city of Cusco.

Day 2 Sacred Valley
We start first with the pick up from the hotel in the city of Cusco, 7:00 a.m to 8:00 a.m. approx., we go to Pisac where we will have a guided tour, this place is made up of groups of archaeological remains, among which are platforms, aqueducts, roads associated with walls and gates, channeled water channels, cemeteries, bridges, etc..
Then we go to the province of Urubamba where we will have an Andean buffet lunch, continue through the Sacred Valley to the town of Ollantaytambo.
We go to the archaeological center of Ollantaytambo where we will visit the most important sites of the complex as the Tempo del Sol, then we will visit the town of Chinchero the archaeological part and the textile interpretation centers.
Finishing our tour, we head to the city of Cusco, arriving at 6:00 p.m. approximately.

Day 3 Short Inca Trail
The Inca Trail tour 2 days 1 night, begins with the pick up from the hotel (04:00 Hrs) and then go in mobility to the train station is located in Ollantaytambo.
We will board the tourist train to kilometer 104, from where we will start the hike crossing the bridge that is located over the Urubamba river or Willkamatuc (Sacred River) and the checkpoint.
Then we will arrive at the archaeological center of Chachabamba (dedicated to the water treatment) and Choquesuysuy (gold washhouse is a site of pure water).
Then we will arrive to Wiñaywayna (Eternally Young), after knowing winaywayna we will walk for 2 hours until we arrive to Inti Punku – Gate of the Sun.
From Inti Punku we will have an impressive panoramic view of Machu Picchu and all the valley that surrounds it, we will descend to the wonder of the world Machu Picchu.
Finally we will arrive to the town of Aguas Calientes where we will spend the night in a hotel.
Here we will also have a delicious a la carte dinner in a restaurant.

Day 4 Machu Picchu Citadel – Cusco
We will take the first transfer to Machu Picchu where we will have a guided tour of 2 hours and 30 minutes where you will learn about the Incas and visit all the most important areas of the citadel.
After your tour, you will have free time to explore the site yourself and if you have permits to climb Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu mountain. In the afternoon, you will take the train back to Ollantaytambo from where you will continue on our mobility back to Cusco.
