Depart from Cusco and head for Limatambo. Visit the two beautiful archaeological centers of Quillarumiyoc and Tarawasi, which were possibly used as astronomical observatories by the Incas. Continue to the town of Chonta passing through Limatambo and enjoy a delicious lunch.

Take in the views of Chonta Village, located at 3,400 meters, and the Salkantay and Humantay mountains. After walking approximately an hour and a half along a beautiful path, arrive at the Huaco viewpoint, located on the margin right of the Apurimac river canyon at 3,350 meters above sea level.

From the viewpoint, take in the panoramic views of the Apurímac Canyon and witness the impressive flight of the Andean condor in its natural habitat. The condor is the largest prey-gliding bird in the world and is considered a sacred bird by the Incas. With a bit of luck, observe birds such as eagles, hawks, and white-tailed deer.
