EXPERIENCE:

Previous Day.- Informative Meeting in Cuzco

The day before the tour kicks off, you’ll have a brief meeting with our guide in Cuzco. During this session, you’ll receive your tickets, get all the tour details, and be informed of the exact pickup time for the next day.

DAY 1: FROM CUSCO TO MACHU PICCHU PUEBLO

Your day begins with our team picking you up at your Cuzco accommodation between 09:40 and 10:00 a.m. From there, you’ll head to Ollantaytambo, where your journey to Machu Picchu commences. At 12:55 p.m., you’ll board the train to Aguas Calientes. Upon arriving at the Aguas Calientes station around 2:00 p.m., our staff will be there to meet you and accompany you to your lodging for the night.

Aguas Calientes, also known as Machu Picchu Pueblo, serves as the gateway to the majestic archaeological site. Despite being a transit point, it offers a variety of restaurants, shops, and relaxing hot springs. It’s the perfect place to rest and prepare for the exciting day ahead.

Accommodation: 1 night in double, twin, triple, or quadruple rooms (subject to availability).
Additional Option: Enjoy the Aguas Calientes Hot Springs.

DAY 2: MACHU PICCHU – RETURN TO CUSCO

Early in the morning, you’ll start the hike from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu, following the ancient stone steps alongside your fellow travelers. If you prefer, you also have the option to take a bus according to your entry time.

Once inside mystical Machu Picchu, our guide will take you on a 3-hour tour, exploring iconic places like the Main Plaza, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Solar Clock, and the Royal Quarters. After the tour, you’ll have free time to explore, take photos, or simply soak in the sanctuary’s energy.

At the end of the day, you’ll take the train back to Ollantaytambo and be transferred by bus to Cusco, where you’ll arrive between 7:00 and 9:00 p.m.

Important Note

Last-Minute Reservations (Less than 4 weeks before the tour date) If you’re booking a Machu Picchu tour within 4 weeks of your departure date, we may need to make some adjustments to the itinerary to secure entry to the ruins. We strongly recommend that all travelers book their Machu Picchu tour well in advance (more than 3 months) to avoid these requirements.

Tickets to Machu Picchu often sell out in advance. Authorities release a limited number of last-minute tickets at the Aguas Calientes ticket booths for the following day, with a queue system in place. We will assist last-minute bookings with this process.
