EXPERIENCE

After departing from Calgary, your first stop will be at Horseshoe Canyon, with the stunning views of the valley. Continue to the Hoodoos, where you will hop off the vehicle to enjoy views of these unique sandstone formations. Walk amongst these imposing structures.

Next, visit the Atlas Coal Mine. Designated a National Historic Site of Canada in 2002, your ride will explore the Processing Plant. Stop for a picnic lunch along the way with some great food and some rest before continuing the journey.

Visit the Royal Tyrrell Museum, Canada’s only museum dedicated exclusively to the science of paleontology. Housing a collection of over 130,000 fossils, see mounted dinosaur skeletons including the T-Rex, Stegosaurus, and Triceratops. Look into the “Preparation Lab”, where you can watch technicians prepare fossils for research and exhibition.

Continue along Dinosaur Trail to Horsethief Canyon and on to the Bleriot Ferry (seasonal). Wrap up the day and relax at Orkney Viewpoint.
