From Arequipa: Trekking to the Colca Canyon |2Days-1Night| – Arequipa, Peru

EXPERIENCE:

Day 1: Arequipa – Condor´s Cross – Sangalle
The tour starts with pick up in your hotel at 3:00 a.m. – 3:30 a.m. We´ll board our transport, which will take us to Chivay on a trip of 3 hours approx.
At 6:00 a.m. we´ll be having our delicious breakfast in a tourist restaurant, and we´ll continue our tour for another hour of travel, until we reach the Cruz del Cóndor viewpoint, from where we can appreciate the shape of the canyon and the magnificent flight of the condors.
Following in our transport, we´ll pass through the towns of Cabanaconde and La pampa de San Miguel, this is the point where we´ll start the walk appreciating the interior of the canyon with views of the towns that we´ll visit along our route.
We´ll continue to the town of San Juan de Chucho, where we´ll have lunch after a walk of 4hrs approx, then we´ll go to Sangalle 3 hrs approx, incredible place located in the heart of the canyon and next to the Colca River. On the way we´ll also visit the towns of Cosñirhua and Malata where we´ll see a small museum. In the valley of Sangalle, we´ll have the opportunity to enjoy its pools, have dinner and spend our first night.

Day 2: Sangalle – Cabanaconde – Arequipa
Very early at 5:00 a.m. approx, we´ll start our hike to the town of Cabanaconde, where we´ll enjoy a delicious breakfast, there we´ll wait for our transport that will take us back to Chivay on the way we´ll make some stops in places of interest to take pictures and appreciate the beautiful views.
In Chivay we´ll enjoy a delicious buffet lunch and we´ll have the option to visit the hot springs, located only 4 kilometers from Chivay.
Finally it´ll be time to start our return trip to Arequipa, where we´ll arrive around 6.00 p.m.
