From Arequipa: Sillar Route and Hike in Culebrillas – Arequipa, Peru

EXPERIENCE:

The tour starts with hotel pick up and once that everyone be in the mobility, we´ll begin the Sillar Route leaving the city towards the Añashuayco quarry. The tour guide will give us a series of explanations about the process of extraction of the sillar, the stone with which most of the constructions around the main square of Arequipa were made.
After that we´ll visit the Culebrillas creek we´ll be able to walk for 20 minutes through a small canyon formed by the erosion of the water.
At the end of the tour, we´ll see some petroglyphs that we will be able to admire and photograph. Then, we´ll return to Arequipa to finish the tour.
