EXPERIENCE

Explore Alaska’s Chugach mountains with a Wilderness First Aid (WFA) certified hiking guide!
This is for up to four people. Private tours are available with custom pickup/dropoff location.

NOTE:
– Hiking poles and emergency rain gear will be provided. Your guide will carry bear spray.
– Snacks and water will be provided.
– This is a difficult hike with steep terrain.
– There may be some remaining snow near the peak.
– In case of inclement weather, the hike can be cancelled for a full refund.

10am: Pickup anywhere in Anchorage. After the booking has been made, your tour guide will reach out to you to arrange a meetup location.

10:15am: Enjoy a ride in the local guide’s Subaru Forester. The ride to the trailhead will be between 10-35 minutes, depending on pickup location.

10:45am: Arrive at Basher Trailhead. Prepare for the hike with a safety briefing.

11:00pm: Begin Ascent. The terrain varies between uphill and flat, and can be muddy. There will be multiple stops to snack and catch your breath.

2:15pm: Reach the summit of wolverine peak. Admire the views of ancient mountains, lakes, and Anchorage.

2:30pm: Begin descent. The way down will generally be faster, but can be challenging for those with knee problems.

Around 4:30pm: Return to the Basher trailhead. Ride back to the pickup point or another dropoff point in Anchorage.
