Excursion to the Sacred Valley (Pisac and Ollantaytambo) – Cusco Region, Peru

EXPERIENCE

ITINERARY:

– The first stop on this day trip from Cusco is the Mirador de Tara, which offers stunning views of the Andes and the Sacred Valley.
– Afterwards we will go to the city of Pisac and go through the local market. We will visit archaeological sites, agricultural terraces, Inca cemeteries and royal buildings.
– After visiting Urubamba we will enjoy an open buffet at the restaurant.

– After eating, we will get into the car that will take us to Ollantaytambo, a large fortress built to protect the entrance to Machu Picchu and protect the Incas from possible invasions.

– Returning to Cusco, we will visit the picturesque town of Chinchero to see the remains of the royal Yupanqui hacienda of Túpac Inca. Additionally, we will hold workshops and learn how locals dye alpaca wool using local plants.
