EXPERIENCE

Between 1895 and 1969, CERRO ÁSPERO was an icon of mining in Córdoba. At its foot, Pueblo Escondido was built to house the miners. The wolfram or tungsten extracted from the mines was used for war purposes, so the peak production period was during the Second World War.
After 30 years of abandonment, since the mid 90’s, some spaces were recycled and restored, maintaining the original facade, to adapt them to today’s visitors, already as a tourist enterprise, with lodging, shelters, camping, bridges and mountain dining room.

The excursion includes:
constant escort service, looking for the passengers by their lodgings to make the ascent to the mountain ridge by van. Arrival at the mountain post, begins a trekking of approx. 1 hour and a half to see the town. In the place the most important points are toured, then lunch in the dining room or on the terraces. After a delicious lunch and a briefing about the history of the place, we start the trekking back to the vehicle, which takes about 2 hours, depending on the pace of the group. Passengers are insured at all times.

It does not include the entrance fee for the two passes through private fields nor the entrance fee or drinks in the village.
