Excursion to Machu Picchu + Machu Picchu Mountain – Cusco Region, Peru

EXPERIENCE

We will pick you up at the meeting point at 4:00 and 4:30 am and head to the Ollantaytambo station. At 5:40 am the train to Machu Picchu will depart.

The train ride, which lasts an hour and a half, will be one of the most impressive parts of the excursion, as it is one of the most spectacular railway routes in the world. We will cross a natural setting of unparalleled beauty that we will admire thanks to the glass roof.

When we arrive in Aguas Calientes, we will take a bus that will take us directly to Machu Picchu. Once there, the guide will show you the way to access Machu Picchu Mountain. Did you know that it is more than 3,000 meters high? At that point, you will climb freely up to 300 meters that will give you an enviable view of the citadel. Don’t forget your camera!

As we descend from the mountain, we will meet again and take a guided tour of the ruins of Machu Picchu. For two and a half hours we will walk in the footsteps of the Incas and the Guardian’s House will be one of the most amazing places we will see.

Finally, we will take the bus back to Aguas Calientes, where you will have free time to eat in one of its restaurants or visit the town’s craft market.

After the return trip by train, we will finish the excursion arriving in Cusco at approximately 9:00 p.m.
