Excursion to Machu Picchu + Huayna Picchu Mountain – Cusco Region, Peru

EXPERIENCE

We went to the Ollantaytambo train station and from there we went by train to Aguascalientes. We will take an unforgettable trip lasting an hour and a half, where we will admire the unique view of the mountains through the large windows and the glass roof of the carriage. We arrived at our destination around 7:00 am. In Aguascalientes we will board the bus and go to the entrance of Machu Picchu where we will be given instructions on how to start the hiking route through the Huayna Picchu mountain. You will have two and a half hours to explore this 2,500 meter high mountain on your own. These views will blow your mind! At the end of the walk, a guided tour of the archaeological site awaits us. After three hours, we will visit the famous lost city of the Incas, included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Do you want to know all its secrets? We will then return by bus to Aguascalientes, leaving you almost five hours of free time to eat and explore the city on your own. You will love its artisan market! In the afternoon we return to Ollantaytambo by train. We will drop you off at your hotel in the Cusco area at 9:00 PM
