  • Anywhere

EXPERIENCE:

We leave London to head west into the Royal County of Berkshire about 1 1/2 hour’s drive away. We aim to arrive at Highclere castle early before the crowds arrive. After visiting the inside of the castle we will explore the splendid grounds and gardens of Lord and Lady Carnarvon.

Next we head north to the Cotswolds, an area of outstanding natural beauty to explore some of the filming locations made famous by the worldwide smash hit tv series “Downton Abbey” including the village hospital, the Dog and Duck, Mrs. Crawley’s house and many more.

Time permitting we’ll head up to the village of Swinbrook for a late lunch follower by a visit to Cogges farm, an historic farmstead which doubled as “Yew Tree Farm” in Downton Abbey – a perfect end to our day before heading back to London

TOUR HIGHLIGHTS:

Highclere castle – Downton Abbey in the tv series
Bampton Village – walk amongst some of the filming sites
Cogges Farm – Yew tree farm
