Dolphin watching and boat trip in Puerto Madryn - Puerto Madryn, Argentina

EXPERIENCE

Between December and April, many boats set sail from the pier of Puerto Madryn in search of dark dolphins in their natural habitat. Dolphins travel in groups and approach the boats; on board, passengers enjoy an unforgettable natural spectacle.

To see them, patience is key, and uncertainty is immediately relieved when they approach in a herd. They swim swiftly to reach the boat and accompany it for the rest of the journey. Meanwhile, in the distance, others leap, and the calves try to swim at the same speed as their mothers. Solitary individuals can also be observed quite frequently. They are very active animals that can move at high speeds and change direction, especially during dives.

The effectiveness of finding them is 97%. However, as they are free and wild animals -and really fast ones!- it can rarely fail. But every tour captain will be persistent in the search, in order to satisfy the tourists.

Departures always depend on the weather, wind, and demand. They are always in the morning. The excursion is carried out in a semi-rigid boat.
The excursion lasts 3 hours in total, including the pre-boarding half an hour before.
