Dogsled and Reindeer Day Trip to Borealis Basecamp - Trans-Alaska Pipeline, Alaska
  • Anywhere

EXPERIENCE

We will pick you up from your hotel in the morning. It is a 45 minute drive North on the world famous Elliott Highway to Borealis Basecamp. We are located in the heart of the Boreal Forest, with panoramic views of the valley.

Included in your package is a 1-hour dogsledding tour and a 45-minute long reindeer walking tour.

We work with local, passionate mushers who view their dogs as their family, and you will have the chance to understand this incredible sport on your ride through the snowy forest.

On your reindeer tour, our reindeer handlers will introduce you to the herd of reindeer, and you will go for a short, comfortable walk through the forest. Our handler will show you how to lead our gentle reindeer and you will hold the leads, stopping for photos at ideal spots in the tour.

Lunch is held at Latitude 65, our on-site restaurant. The menu consists of hot and cold sandwiches, noodle dishes, and a rotating menu of features and fresh soups.

You may also take part in some of our complimentary resort activities, such as fat tire bike rentals, tubing down a sledding hill, or joining us for a nature walk to the Alyeska Pipeline.

You depart from Borealis Basecamp at 4:30pm.
