  • Anywhere

EXPERIENCE:

We start the tour when our guide arrives for you in the lobby of your hotel, we head to the Yucatan coast to visit the stunning pink waters.

Our first stop will be in Coloradas which is part of a salt company (private property), we have access to take those unforgettable pictures with the pink pools.

This reserve is located at the eastern end of the Yucatan coastal strip. It contains a high diversity of flora and fauna thanks to the different ecosystems that subsist there, be it lowland jungle, savannah or mangroves. Of the latter, it is worth mentioning that Ría Lagartos has one of the most important and extensive mangrove zones in all of Yucatán, its waters are home to a great variety of mollusks, crustaceans and fish. It is also considered one of the main wetlands because it represents, among other things, the first available stopover habitats for migratory birds from the United States and Canada.

We will take a 2 hour boat tour to learn about the fauna and flora of the estuary, at the conclusion of the sighting of famingos will direct you to the “Mayan Bath” where you will enjoy cooling off in a clay mud, this due to its high concentrations of sulfur, minerals, salts and algae that has which act as exfoliants for the skin leaving a feeling of softness throughout our body.

Before finishing we will have lunch at the Manglares restaurant (fish to taste) and then return to Merida.
