EXPERIENCE

This tour usually starts at 8 or 9 am and lasts 5-6 hours. The first stop is going to be at Garni Temple, which is a part of Armenian rich cultural heritage. It was constructed in the 1st century AD and dedicated to Mitra (Mihr), the sun god. Being the only pagan temple in the entire region it is renowned for its striking Hellenistic architecture and classical beauty. The imposing columns and intricate stone carvings of the temple, offer a glimpse into Armenia’s pre-Christian past and its historical connections to the broader Greco-Roman world.

Then, we are going to continue to the heart of Garni Gorge, where the Symphony of Stones reveals nature’s awe-inspiring artistry. These majestic basalt columns, formed by volcanic activity thousands of years ago, rise like an orchestra of ancient stone pipes, each uniquely shaped and aligned. As sunlight dances across their surfaces, the columns create a mesmerizing interplay of light and shadow, evoking a silent symphony that resonates with the timeless beauty of the Armenian landscape. This natural wonder not only showcases the intricate power of geological forces but also serves as a serene reminder of nature’s harmonious elegance and enduring grandeur.

Then going to refill the lost energy by lunch in a gastro yard, the best place for you to experience the real local Armenian hospitality with freshly baked bread, vibrant salads, and savory dishes, all made of homegrown ingredients and by time-honored recipes.

The last stop is at a UNESCO site you are going to love most.
Geghard Monastery, a masterpiece of medieval Armenian architecture, seamlessly blends with its natural surroundings, carved into the heart of a rugged cliff. Its intricate rock-hewn churches and chapels, adorned with detailed carvings and ancient frescoes, showcase a unique fusion of artistry and engineering. The monastery’s design not only highlights the ingenuity of its builders but also reflects a profound harmony between human craftsmanship and the natural world, making Geghard a timeless marvel of architectural splendor.
