EXPERIENCE:

The salt mines of Maras are located in the middle of the Sacred Valley, only 50 kilometers from Cusco, it is made up of more than 3 thousand natural salt wells, each of the wells are fed by a subway hypersaline spring that originated 110 million years ago during the formation of the mountains of the Cordillera de los Andes.
This salt is currently marketed by the people of Maras, just as the Incas did years ago.

Itinerary
•Pick up at approximately 8:00 am from your hotel near the center of the city (on accessible streets) We will travel from Cusco to Chinchero.
•We will visit the textile interpretation centers of Chinchero.
•Arriving in Moray, we will visit the Inca agricultural experimental center, being terraces with microclimates, for experimental purposes.
•Then we arrive at the salt mines of Maras, also known as “salt mines”, its exploitation is as old as the time of Tahuantinsuyo.
•We will return to Cusco at approximately 3:00 pm and will be dropped off near the Plaza de Armas.
