Cusco: Inca Jungle to Machu Picchu | 3 Days / 2 Nights Tour – Cusco, Peru

EXPERIENCE:

Itinerary:

Day 1: Cusco – Abra Málaga – Santa María
• We begin this day with pickup from your accommodation in the morning to head towards the Abra Málaga pass, considered the highest pass on the highway that connects the capital cities Cusco and Quillabamba.
• Arriving at the place we will begin our first activity, cycling, we will obtain the necessary equipment to leave from Abra to Inca Huamanmarca, this activity
• We will visit the archaeological site that was an important point for the Tawantinsuyo, finding remains of stones similar to those of Machu Picchu.
• After we transfer to Santa María, we will arrive at approximately lunch time and have a short rest.
• In the afternoon we will do the second activity, which is descending the river for approximately 2 hours.
• We will return to Santa María for dinner and spend the night at the accommodation.

Day 2: Santa Teresa – Hydroelectric – Aguas Calientes
• This day we will go to Yanatile to enjoy a delicious breakfast and then go to the place where we will do the zip line activity.
• At the location they will give us the respective instructions for the activity and provide us with the necessary safety equipment.
• Concluding the activity we will have lunch and have a break and then continue with our journey to the next destination, the Hydroelectric station.
• Arriving at the place we will continue with the walk until we reach Aguas Calientes. If you are tired you have the option of boarding the train, but buying the tickets on your own.
• Once we arrive in Aguas Calientes, we will go to the accommodation where we will spend the night at the end of the day.

Day 3: Machu Picchu – Cusco
• We start the day very early, we wake up at approximately 4:00 am and we are ready to undertake a great walk.
• We will get your breakfast package and start the walk to the Puente Ruinas checkpoint.
• We will ascend the stairs to reach the entrance door to Machu Picchu and take a guided tour, a wonderful experience you will have when visiting this wonder.
• Completing the visit we will return to Aguas Calientes where you can visit the place calmly and prepare to board the train and return to Ollantaytambo.
• From Ollantaytambo we will head towards the city of Cusco, ending this great adventure.
