Then we will move to Marqoq’asa where we will begin the hike to the viewpoint where we will see two valleys (Mollepata valley, Marqoq’asa) then we will continue our walk to Soraypampa where we will have lunch and then ascend for 1 hour and 30 minutes to reach the Humantay lagoon which is located at 4220 m.a.s.l. then we will begin to descend to Soraypampa.

Day 2: Suyroccocha to Challway Camp (Chaullay)

This day we will have more trails to walk. The views from the top are even more amazing than we can see. After descending on a straight path with tamped stones, we will reach a more accessible area of rainforest at the top of Salkantay Mountain.
Let’s prepare all our equipment to start our hike to the Salkantay pass, the cloud forest experience and the rainforest day will be really impressive.

Day 3: Camp Chalway to La Playa

This third day we will walk through a natural trail that reaches La Playa, we will see some rivers that are tributaries of the main river of the Sacred Valley of the Incas which is the “Urubamba River” and most of the time we will be near the white river of Salkantay, where we will find a variety of wild strawberries on both sides of the trail, if it is seasonal.
The hike will last approximately 5 hours, we will arrive at the campsite which is located in the settlement of La Playa.

Day 4: Llactapata Pass – to the town of Aguas Calientes

This day we will leave our camp very early to avoid the humid sun and hike to the last pass of the entire trip. We will follow the original Inca trail from Lucmabamba to the Llactapata pass, crossing the Santa Teresa valley which has a great variety of landscapes. Arriving at the ruins of Patallacta, we will see Machu Picchu for the first time and all the Andes mountains in the area, which are incredible sights. We will explore the Inca site of Llactapata.
Then we will start descending to Hidro (two hours of extreme descent to the river bank). From the Aobamba River, the road to Hidro is an easy hike to the town of Aguas Calientes “the last two and a half hours we will follow the train track”.

Day 5: Machu Picchu Citadel

This will be our last day, we will have an early breakfast and we will go by tourist bus to Machu Picchu, the trip lasts approximately 30 minutes.
