Cusco 3 days: Humantay Lake, Machu Picchu & Rainbow Mountain – Cusco, Peru

Itinerary:

Day 1: Humantay Lake Tour:
The pick up will be from the Hotel in Cusco at 04:00 hrs to begin the trip in the tourist transportation and you will go to the town of Mollepata (2 hour trip), where you will have breakfast, then continue the trip to Soraypampa.
Upon arriving at Soraypampa, the walk will begin for around 1 hour to 1.5 hours approx. To get to the Humantay Lagoon, you will be able to appreciate the beautiful landscape and its surroundings, then you will return through it route to Soraypampa, then you will return to Mollepata, where you will enjoy a delicious lunch.
Later you will return to the city of Cusco arriving at approximately 05:30 P.M.

Day 2: Tour to Machu Picchu by train:
Pick up will be from the hotel in Cusco at 04:00 AM and you will be transported to the Ollantaytambo train station (car trip of approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes). [If the train leaves from Poroy the car trip is 30 minutes, then take a 3 and a half hour train trip.]
Once at the Ollantaytambo station you will board the train to go to the town of Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu town). Upon arriving in Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu town), the agency staff will be waiting for you to give you all the instructions, then you will go to the bus station, where you will board the bus that will take you to the mountain where Machu Picchu is located (30 minute bus ride).
When you get off the bus you will go to the entrance of Machu Picchu, where you must present your tickets and respective identification documents. You will visit the main sites of the city with the tour guide who will give you all the information and history of Machu Picchu for approximately 2 hours.
At the appropriate time you must take the bus back to the town of Aguas Calientes where you can enjoy lunch in one of the restaurants and optionally you can visit the hot springs of Aguas Calientes (entrance not included).
At the agreed time you will take the return train from Aguas Calientes, a 2-hour trip to Ollantaytambo, where the car will be waiting to transport you to the city of Cusco.

Day 3: Rainbow Mountain Tour:
Pick up will be from the hotel at 04:00 AM, then you will go to the town of Cusipata (The car trip is approximately 2 hours), where after having breakfast, you will continue 1.5 more hours to the starting point of the walk. (Winincunca).
After a 1.5 to 2 hour walk, you will reach the destination: Vinincunca “the Mountain of Seven Colors” (5,020 m / 16,466 ft). Already at the top you will be able to appreciate the beauty and magic of the rainbow mountain and its surroundings, here you will have time to explore the area and take photographs.
Later you will return the walk downhill from the mountain to the starting point of the walk, then continue the route by car until you reach the town of Cusipata, where you will enjoy a delicious lunch. Finally you will return to the city of Cusco. Approximate arrival time 05:00 PM.
