Cusco 3 days: City Tour, Super Sacred Valley & Machupicchu – Cusco, Peru

EXPERIENCE:

Day 1: City tour in Cusco
You will be picked up from your hotel at 1:00 p.m. To begin the tour in the main square, you will enter the Cathedral of Cusco and later the Inca Palace of Qoricancha. Completing the visit, you will board the tourist transport to reach the 4 ruins that are around the city. First you will visit Sacsayhuaman, famous for its megalithic stones carved from limestone.
Then you will visit Qenqo, which means labyrinth, a place where it is believed that the Incas mummified their dead. Later you will go to Puca Pucara, which means “red fortress”, since the limestone stones with which this site is built have acquired the reddish color of the terrain.
Finally we visited Tambomachay, which means place of supply and rest, which were strategically located on the Inca road network. At the end of the tour, you will return to the city of Cusco.

Day 2: Super Sacred Valley of the Incas
In the morning at 06:30 am. You will be picked up from your hotel to begin the tour of the Super Sacred Valley of the Incas, first you will be transferred to Chinchero, where there is a colonial Catholic church that is built on an Inca palace, an example of the imposition of the Catholic religion on the Andean culture. . Then you will visit a textile center to appreciate the processes of obtaining colors with natural products to dye different wools.
Then you will arrive at Moray, it was an experimental site for the obtaining and domestication of corn, potatoes, olluco, among others. Then you will move to the Maras salt mines, characterized by the existence of water sources with sodium chloride that come from the mountain more than 3000 meters above sea level.
Later, by transport you will be taken to the town of Urubamba for lunch where you will taste Peruvian cuisine.
After the pleasant lunch you will arrive at Ollantaytambo, whose name is in honor of the Inca General Ollanta, famous for his romance with an Inca princess. In this park you will see megalithic sites and water sources.
Afterwards, you will be directed to Pisac located at the top of the mountain. Finally, after this wonderful view, you will return to the city of Cusco at 7:30 p.m.

Day 3: Tour to Machupicchu by train
For the tour you will be picked up at 04:00 hrs and transported to the Ollantaytambo train station where you will board the train to the town of Machupicchu. On the trip you will enjoy landscapes, mountains and rivers. Upon arrival, the agency staff will be waiting for you to go together to the bus station, where you will board the bus that will take you to the majestic citadel of Machupicchu.
When you get off the bus you must present your ticket and passport, then the guided tour of the citadel will begin. On the tour you will open your senses and be filled with the energy that this majestic place hides.
At the appropriate time you must return to the town to take the train back to Ollantaytambo, where the agency staff will be waiting for you to transport you to the city of Cusco.
