Cusco: 2-day Inca Trail to Machu Picchu | Small Group | – Cusco, Peru

EXPERIENCE:

01- Day: Cusco – KM 104 – Machu Picchu

Our 2-day, 1-night tour to Machu Picchu begins early in the morning. We will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to the train station in Ollantaytambo. You will board the 5:00 a.m. train that will take you to Km. 104, the starting point of the short Inca Trail. During the hike, you will visit stunning places such as Chachabamba and the Phuyuwachi waterfall. You will enjoy the native flora and fauna of the region. After approximately 4 hours of hiking, you will reach Wiñayhuayna, an archaeological site with impressive Inca terraces. You will continue to Intipunku, from where you will have a view of Machu Picchu.

You will descend to take a bus that will transport you to Aguas Calientes, where you will spend the night in a hotel. This route offers a unique experience in a stunning geographical setting, full of archaeological attractions and diverse landscapes.
Overnight stay in Aguas Calientes.

02-Day: Visit to the “Lost City Of The Incas”

In the early morning, we will enjoy breakfast at the hotel and then take the bus that will transport us to the Archaeological Sanctuary of Machu Picchu in a short 25-minute journey. The fascinating guided tour of one of the New Seven Wonders of the World will begin. We will admire its impressive design, including the agricultural terraces and the ingenious hydraulic system with canals and aqueducts. Machu Picchu is recognized as a marvel of agricultural engineering and is part of an extensive complex that spans over 35,000 hectares. Each year, approximately 1.5 million visitors are captivated by its beauty and majesty.

In the afternoon, we will return by train to Ollantaytambo, where we will be waiting at the station to transfer you back to your hotel in Cusco.
