EXPERIENCE:

Explore and discover the beauty of the archaeological site of Chacchoben. The Chacchoben Mayan Ruins Excursion includes a bilingual professional guide (Spanish and English), snacks and drinks.

From our meeting point we will drive for about 50 minutes to the Chacchoben archaeological site where you will have a 1.5 hour guided tour with a native guide who will unveil the history of a Mayan city that flourished around 300 AD.

On our way we will famous and extraordinary local village called Pedro Santos also know as Pineapple Village for its unique honey pineapple where our guide make a brief explanation of the village (Stop of 5 – 10 minutes upon request for picture, or any purchase of fruits).

The visit to the Chacchoben archaeological is complemented with a walk under the jungle to explore and get to know the different structures on the site like: Templo 24, Plaza B, Gran Plaza, Gran Basamento, Los Gemelos, Las Vasijas and Temple One.

During this excursion you will also have the possibility of learning about local plants and seeing some species of local fauna including birds and spider monkeys.

After leaving Chacchoben we will take you back to the town of Mahahual.

We will finish the Chacchoben Mayan Ruins Excursion taking you back to the port so that you can board your ship.
