Canyoning full day – Furon 1 & 2 : Vercors – Grenoble – Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, France

EXPERIENCE:

Furon canyon is one of the most famous canyoning place to go in Vercors, close to Grenoble. This beautiful canyon, with a nice and narrow geological shape is a good option to discover the activity.
With the full day option, you will be able to see two different part of the same river :
– the lower part first, really close to Grenoble, which is a good way to discover abseiling (going down with a rope) in beautiful waterfalls and you will be able to jump from different heights.
– the upper part then which is a beautiful and narrow river, really diversified : you will go down a river abseiling, jumping, sliding and on rope zip lines.

The canyon is an aquatic canyon with moderate verticals (15m for the highest).

Even if the tour is adapted to beginners, you need to be sportive and in good shape, as it is a full day tour with hiking on the way on and on the way back.
You need also to be able to swim and to be confident in water.

ORGANISATION OF THE DAY :
– We welcome you at the lower part car park around 9 am and we give you all the equipment.
– We have then 30 minutes of walking up and then 2 hours in the canyon.
– We come back at the car park where you can take around 45 min to eat your own sandwich.
– You take again your car and come at the upper part car park for the second part of the day.
– There is then 10 min of walk down to the river, 2-3 h in the canyon and then 45 min of walking back up to the car park.

THINGS TO TAKE WITH YOU :
– A swimming suit
– Dry clothes and towel for the way out
– Good shoes with laces (running shoes)
– Waterproof camera if you want (optionnal)
– Water and something to eat for lunch (sandwich for example)
