EXPERIENCE:

Join researchers at the University of Cambridge for a unique walking tour that explores the historic connections between the University of Cambridge and the British Empire.

This tour outlines local entanglements with the transatlantic slave trade, Eugenics, and takes a close look at controversies surrounding museum collections and the development of certain academic disciplines at Cambridge.

Through questions and discussion, participants will learn more about the local context behind on-going legacies of imperialism and will reflect on current issues of equality, academic subjectivity, and historical relevance.

Tour will finish inside the Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology.

Accessibility: Mostly flat terrain, no steps, but with some cobblestoned streets in the city centre.
