This fascinating archaeological site, located in Cajamarca just 40 minutes from the city, features rock formations sculpted by natural erosion. Most impressive is the pre-Inca engineering work: an aqueduct that remains in operation to this day.
This excursion offers a unique combination of nature, history and mystery, giving you an unforgettable experience in one of the most emblematic places in Cajamarca.

ITINERARY:
– We will start our excursion by picking you up from your hotel around 9:00 a.m. From there, we will start our trip to Cumbemayo.
– Upon arrival, you will be able to marvel at the forest of large stone monoliths known as frailones. These formations, sculpted by nature, rise majestically and evoke human and animal figures.
– We will also visit the historic aqueduct of Cumbemayo, an impressive work of pre-Inca engineering that still transports water along its 9 kilometers of canals carved into the rock, demonstrating the advanced hydraulic knowledge of the time.
– We will explore the Sanctuary, where you can enter caves adorned with enigmatic rock engravings, whose meaning is still a mystery to archaeologists.
– During the tour, our expert guide will provide you with detailed information about the history and cultural significance of each place we visit.
– Finally, we will return to the city, arriving at approximately 1:00 pm.
