Cagliari: San Benedetto Market Tour, Pasta Workshop & Lunch – Sardinia, Italy

EXPERIENCE:

Discover the San Benedetto Market with an expert on Sardinian cuisine and dishes and then cook a typical Sardinian lunch. Founded in 1957 and with its 8,000 square metres of exhibition space, the Cagliari market is one of the largest in Italy. The ground floor is entirely dedicated to the sale of fish, while on the upper floor are the fruit and vegetable, meat, cheese, and charcuterie departments. During this experiential tour you will choose together with your guide the fresh ingredients with which to prepare a tasty three-course lunch to end a morning of traditional Sardinian flavours and fragrances.

No cooking experience required, the typical Sardinian menu will be prepared together involving all participants.

Programme:
– 1 h at the market (meeting at the market)
– 3 h cooking class + lunch and aperitif of cheese and cold cuts accompanied by a glass of wine (walking distance from the market 350 m).
Fresh pasta will also be prepared during the experience. The menu will be chosen according to seasonality, guest preferences and market availability. 
Lunch includes at least 3 courses (starter, first course and main course) and will take place at a location within a 5-minute walk of the market. 

Lunch also includes:
– Water
– Carasau bread
– Local liqueur as a digestive

At the end of the experience, the guide will send you an e-mail with the recipes of the dishes prepared together.
