Buenos Aires: Tango and Folklore Show at La Ventana – Buenos Aires, Argentina

EXPERIENCE

Located in the neighbourhood of San Telmo, this historic building has been remodelled and has become a classic of Argentinean culture.

La Ventana brings together tradition, tango and Argentine folklore in a unique show.

La Ventana has a tango show that is a journey through other times. The interiors, which preserve the purest part of the building, are the ideal setting for a unique proposal: 35 artists on stage, two Tango orchestras, a folkloric ensemble, dancers and singers; a menu with typical and international dishes, and an exquisite wine cellar of Argentine wines.

For dinner, you can choose from a selection of typical Argentinean dishes. Includes starter, main course, dessert and drinks.

At 10 p.m. the show will start with live music performed by an orchestra and four excellent couples of dancers.
The show will also show you a little bit of the gaucho culture through their music, as well as an amazing demonstration of their gaucho skills.

Starter (your choice)
– Pure pork “choripan argentino” chorizo in sourdough bread with lettuce. tomato and chimichurri sauce.
– Meat empanada with suace yasgua on the side (a typical sauce from Northern Argentina).
– Humita empanada, corn paste filling with criolla sauce on the side.
– “Vitel Toné” Pecetto, homemade mayonnaise sauce and mediterra capers.
– Vegan salad with broccoli, roasted pumpkin, crispy quinoa, kale, mushrooms and toasted hazelnuts with a basil dressing.
– Capresse salad with candied tomatoes, bocconcini and basil.
– Butternut squash soup with crispy quinoa & parmesan cheese.

Main Course (your choice)
– Grilled chorizo steak 400gr with herb roasted potatoes, salad and Dijon mustard.
– Beef cheek, creamy potatoes & smoked paprika, topped with panko & chimichurri crumbs.
– Smoked pork bondiola with Patagonian beer crushed sweet potatoes & criolla sauce topped with panko crumbs & chimichurri.
– Neapolitan chicken escalope with homemade aioli & herb roasted potatoes.
– Lemon butter catch of the day with crispy capers & creamed potatoes with spinach & roasted garlic.
– Cabutia, ricotta and thyme ravioli, with pine mushroom cream and portobellos.
– Pappardelle with pine mushrooms & portobellos.
– Sémola gnocchi gratin with saffron cream.
– Vegan pesto spaghetti.
– Lasagna alla bolognese.

Dessert (your choice)
– Homemade flan custard with dulce de leche and whipped cream..
– Bread pudding with milk caramel and whipped cream.
– Warm crepe with dulce de leche.
– Seasonal crumble with nuts and ice cream.
– Pears in malbec with vanilla ice cream.
– Ice cream with Patagonian berries, meringue and tangerine cookie.

National Drinks (your choice)
– Mineral water or soft drink or juice or beer.
– House red/white wine (one bottle for every two people).
