During this kayak and canoe excursion, we let you to discover the most evocative stretch of the middle port of Brindisi, where the Alfonsino Castle built with carparo ashlars dominates the landscape like a large natural cliff overlooking the sea.
Kayaking along the island of Sant’ Andrea will take you back in time, a past in which the fortresses on the island of constituted for centuries the bulwark of the West in the face of Ottoman expansionism. The emerald green water, the jackdaws that fly over the towers give life to the imposing construction that stands out against the sky in the middle of the medium port.
You will be involved in our biosurveillance and research activity of the large sea turtles (of the Caretta caretta species) that permanently populate the nutritious and full of life waters of the port of Brindisi
After a short break with a moment of explanation on the geological nature of the area, the excursion will proceed with the crossing of the stone bridge of the Bocche di Puglia passage where you can admire the open sea and take a refreshing swim.
At the end of this stop, you will return to the embarkation point.
