Bordeaux: Historic Right Bank Walking Tour - Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France
  • Anywhere

EXPERIENCE:

Travel to the right bank of Bordeaux and meet Louis, pulled out of the second half of the nineteenth century. Young worker at Gustave Carde et Fils, he guides us through his neighborhood, la Bastide.

After the two banks were reunited by the Pont de Pierre, the arrival of the trainstation of Orleans and its annexation to the city of Bordeaux, the right bank industrialized rapidly.

Louis will present you the environment in which he worked, in which he lived, in which he walked: factories, distilleries, shipyards, general stores, workers’ cities… Disappeared or transformed, what have they become in our contemporary landscape?

Travel back in time with this theatrical tour which lasts 1h30, starting from la place de Stalingrad and ending at Darwin.
