EXPERIENCE:

The beautiful Città Alta (Upper Town) is picturesquely situated on a hill surrounded by an old city wall and offers a breathtaking view of the surrounding area. In good weather, all the way to Milan! A great place to take photos.

The tour starts at the legendary Funicolare Ferretti funicular. The Città Alta can be reached either comfortably by train or on foot. The tour continues through the old market square, to the cathedral and to Piazza Vecchia, the central square surrounded by elegant buildings, including the 12th century Palazzo della Ragione. The Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, famous for its breathtaking frescoes and mosaics, is also on your route.

After some more surprising discoveries in the small streets of the old town, you can refresh yourself in one of the most famous cafés in Italy with a very special speciality invented here in Bergamo and then finish the tour with a great view of the valley.

Of course, there is also a lot to discover in the Città Bassa (lower town). At the end of the tour, you’ll find lots of tips.

The tour is a great way to get outside and discover new things with family, friends or on your own.

It’s like being shown Bergamo by a good friend. Many anecdotes will enrich your walk through the city.

You can start the tour at any time and as often as you like in the browser of a smartphone. On site or even from the comfort of your sofa.
